New collection of abstracts heading to ART ON THE EDGE. A new space in Newport “doing things differently”
Artist Statement
My work explores themes of transformation, vulnerability, and resilience through abstract painting. Drawing inspiration from personal experiences, memories, and the natural world, I use colour, texture, and contrast to create visual spaces that are both emotional and open to interpretation.
Layered surfaces, organic forms, and expressive mark-making allow me to investigate change—within the body, within landscapes, and within ourselves. Through the interplay of vibrant colour and subtle textures, I aim to capture moments of uncertainty, healing, connection, and renewal, inviting viewers to discover their own narratives within the work.
